A space by teens, for teens
— where identity, creativity, and heritage come alive.
Youth Lab empowers teenagers to design and lead projects that celebrate Asian culture in contemporary ways. From art and design to storytelling and mentorship, teens become visible cultural creators and leaders.
Designing the future with Asian aesthetics
Teens curate fashion, art, and cultural projects that reinterpret Eastern heritage with a modern twist. From public showcases to school-based events, they turn traditions into fresh, creative experiences.
Telling stories that matter.
Teen reporters and media makers document community stories through interviews, photography, and short films — giving voice to Asian-American identity and making teen perspectives heard.
Crossing cultures, building belonging.
Exchange programs where teens connect across schools, communities, and cultures. Through dialogue and collaboration, they explore identity and leadership in a global context.
Teens guiding kids, culture guiding growth.
Older teens become mentors, leading camps and workshops that introduce kids to Asian traditions in fun and hands-on ways. This fosters leadership, responsibility, and identity-building.
Curate and stage a traditional Chinese tea ceremony at a children’s art exhibition, weaving heritage into a contemporary narrative.
Document the journey of performers at the 2023 Voice of China San Francisco auditions, capturing their dreams and dedication through immersive storytelling.
Host immersive cultural experiences at public libraries where teens engage with Chinese calligraphy and Kung Fu tea—connecting hands, minds, and traditions.
Guide and inspire youth to produce a fashion show celebrating the artistry and stories of Himalayan craftsmanship.
This project is an initiative by ACHEA Youth Lab, a student-founded organization focused on cross-cultural understanding in Asia. As a part of our 2025 summer research, we are exploring the emotional and mental well-being of Asian youth across different cultural contexts.
We believe mental health should not be a taboo, especially for those growing up between worlds.
To understand the psychological experiences of students with Asian backgrounds and share their voices through a formal report (white paper) to spark awareness, empathy, and action.
Help Us Understand What It’s Like to Be You.
Are you a student with an Asian cultural background? Do you sometimes feel stuck between different worlds—school, family, culture?
We want to hear your story.
[ASIAN CULTURAL HERITAGE EXCHANGE ASSOCIATION] is conducting a completely anonymous survey to better understand the mental and emotional experiences of Asian youth across the globe. Your voice will help us write a meaningful report to raise awareness and create change.
Take 3–5 minutes to fill this survey:
